Informed it has been a while!

I was informed tonight by Randi, that it had been forever since I had updated this. So I thought I better do it. Gavin and I have been very busy lately. We both have been working a lot and trying to get ready for the holidays. I made my sister some JOY letters from Crop Paper Scissors. I think they turned out pretty cute. They are pretty simple, just like Cami. We have decorated for Christmas, thanks to Gav the tree was up before Thanksgiving...Don't ask! I am about 3/4 done with my shopping and can't wait for that part to be over. On the bright side the doctor I work for is taking the whole week of Christmas off, so I can work whenever I want, for as long as I want. :)
My mom is having surgery on her back tomorrow to repair a ruptured disc, so please keep her in mind. My grandparents are coming back into town to stay with her for the first few days of surgery while my dad is at work. We have a busy week ahead of us. Mom's surgery Monday, my 2nd OB appointment Tuesday, 14 weeks has gone by so fast.... Saturday is the A-shift Christmas party and hopefully Sunday we can rest. If I don't update this before the Holiday, which I probably won't, Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Loghan's Photos by Michelle Wolf

Finally!!!!! I got Loghan's photos that we had done by Michelle today!!! They are so awesome!! It is hard to choose what one is my favorite. I am excited to get them printed up and put up so everyone can view them.

I am also excited because this weekend is a girls scrapping weekend. A few of us are going over to Randi's and are going to scrap all weekend. I have some catching up to do with my scrap book so it will be good for me. I can't wait!

Loghan's 2!!!!

Loghan turned 2 on September 25th, but we waited until today to do his birthday party. We had lots of friends and family over. All of the kids had fun playing together. I can't believe that he is already 2. Time flies so fast. Christel and Richie brought baby Layla by and looking at her made me remember when Loghan was that small. It doesn't seem that long ago. I am glad that we have the friends and family we do. Everyone that came tonight is basically family. I feel very fortunate, not only for myself, but for Loghan as well. It will be fun to watch him and all of his little friends grow into who they will become.

On another note, Gavin and I FINALLY have a day off together!!! YEAH!!!! It has been probably almost 2 months since we had a day off together. Gavin has been working over 20 days a month at the fire department. That is alot when they are 24hr shifts!!! I am glad he is home for a day and maybe we can have some time together as a family and we may even get to catch up with friends!!

I can't believe it's FALL!!!

I can't believe it is fall already!! I recently went back home to Hayden Lake and I couldn't believe how cold it was. Their leaves are changing and everything is getting ready for winter. It amazes me that even though Hayden is just 2 hours away it is so different from here. I enjoyed spending time with the family and getting out of town. It has been crazy around here!! Loghan will be 2 this upcoming week and I just can't get over it. He is growing and changing so fast....too fast! We had his pictures taken by Michelle Wolf Photography this last week and the ones that I have seen on her blog are gorgeous!!! I am really excited to get them and to scrap them!!!
Gavin and I have been busy updating our house...(which seems like a never ending battle) and we will be installing tile floors and countertops soon. I am now on the hunt for the right tile. I spent all day today cleaning and painting the trim in the basement that I have put off since moving in. I still have all the trim upstairs to do and am not looking forward to it. It will be a huge pay off in the end...if the end ever comes.

A long week!

This week has been a pretty long one for me. I have a cold that seems like it will never go away, and we have been very busy at work. There have been a few frustrations this week, but no matter what has happened there is always a silver lining. Gavin's grandpa was admitted to Tri-State earlier this week with some chest pain. Through many tests they found that he has a bad valve and will need surgery to save his life, otherwise he may only live another year or so. Gavin's grandpa is now in Spokane and will be having open heart surgery on Monday. So if everyone could keep him in mind that would be nice. On a brighter note, Loghan will be having his pictures taken by Michelle Wolf from Michelle Wolf Photography next week. I am really excited she did Addyson Ashe's pictures and they turned out beautiful!!! I am so excited. This weekend I will be trying different outfits on him and finding the perfect lil man outfit. Be looking for those photos soon.

New Job

This week was my first full week at my new job. I am totally loving it. The staff is great and it has even made my attitude better. It is nice coming into work and knowing that everyone will be in a good mood and there is no backstabbing. There are people that I will miss back in the hospital, but at least I am still a hospital employee and get to see them sometimes.
Tomorrow is the Roundup parade and I believe Gav is going to march with the fire department band in his kilt. Yes kilt!!! I can't wait to see his scrawny (sp?) little legs in his man dress. Pics coming soon!

Ice Blocking

Today we went ice blocking. Gavin has never gone. I have never laughed so hard as I did with him. The Ashe girls just seem to fly down the hill on the ice blocks and Gavin-well he made it about 3/4 of the way down the hill before doing a backwards sumersalt (sp?). Randi and I tried it and she was way better than me.

Loghan's Big Boy Room

As I said previously, Loghan wanted a WSU room. While we out and about today we stopped and bought some paint so that I could at least get started on his room. He loves WSU( well football in general) and he loves planes. So I found the perfect thing on the internet to put it all together. Now this is just the start of his room. I still have a stripe to paint around the entire thing and then I somehow have to convince him to sleep in the new room. He love the "puh-plane" as he calls it. I also need to find some planes to hang from the ceiling. If anyone knows of where I can get some cute "rusticish" planes let me know. Well we are off to get ready to go ice blocking for the first time in years. I hope Gavin doesn't break any bones, he is not always the most coordinated. :)

Water works!

Gavin and Loghan are so funny together! Gavin was out watering the lawn and Loghan stole the nozel and started spraying Gav. Loghan was so proud of himself! He loved spraying Gavin.

Today Loghan and I met up with Danielle and Jace for a day at the park. The boys really enjoyed the slides and ducks. I am getting ready to re-do Loghan's big boy room. He chose to do his room in WSU decor. We were walking around the store and he saw the WSU rugs and bedding and said "this room, in here." as he pointed to the cart. Since this has been a 2 week battle on finding him bug boy stuff, I gave in and bought some. Now just to get the motivation to do all of the painting. I still have trim work and touch up to do around the house and haven't found the "want" to do that either.

This may be fun!

It seems like everyone I know is getting a blog....So I thought that maybe it would be nice for my family and friends from out of town to be able to keep up with my family. A little history on me is: I am now 25! It was a hard one I must admit. I can't believe that I am half way to 50! I went to LCSC and recieved a degree in Medical Office and have been at Tri-State Hospital for the last 5 years. My parents and sister still live in the valley. I have 2 beautiful nieces that always can make me laugh. I am married to the most amazing man. He is my rock.... I love him so much and can't wait to see what comes our way in the future. Gavin works for the Lewiston Fire Department, and the Asotin County Fire Department as a EMT/Firefighter. He loves his job and in a lot of ways I am envious of that. We have a son, Loghan, who is the most precious thing on earth. (But as all you other parents know we always have a soft spot for our own.) He amazes me everyday, and there is nothing that I could love more. Loghan will be 2 in September which seems totally unreal. We have just recently sold our 1st home, and upgraded to a great new place. It didn't look like much when we first bought it, but slowly it is turning into a HOME. Between Gav working many hours at the fire stations and me embarking on a new venture at the hospital, it seems we have little time to do anything else. However, when we can we enjoy camping, fishing, and just spending time as a family as well as with our family and friends. We recently were able to make it to Huckelberry Camprground, for the first time as a family, two weeks ago. We enjoyed seeing my grandparents, auent and uncle, sister and her family and my mom and dad. Gav really enjoyed taking the plontoon boats out with the boys to do a little fishing.

Some food for thought: No matter how hard life gets, we always have to look at what we have and apprecitate it for being as perfect as it is.
